About Irené of Broadstone

Irené has had a love for beautiful colours, fabrics and design from a young age. In time her passion for clothes grew and her natural interest in people and wanting to help them to look and feel their best developed into a business some 20 years ago.

Irené's dream became a reality with the opening of her first shop in her local village of Broadstone in 1992. With an obvious talent for classic fashion teamed with charming people skills, she found ladies would travel for miles to visit the little shop and be tempted by her excellent range and good advice.

In time an extension was built onto the shop and the once little shop now boasts one of the largest range of special occasion wear in the South of England covering some 4000 sq ft over two floors. Over the years a team of friendly, well trained staff have joined Irené to support her in her efforts to offer a service second to none.

Glenda

Glenda has been working with Irené for four years. Her excellent experience in fashion began with a career in prestigious department stores followed by a children's fashion boutique before joining us in 2006. Glenda has excellent taste in ladies clothing, she herself is always chic and smartly dressed and knows just what is needed to complete the perfect look. We all enjoy working with Glenda and our customers find her very thoughtful and lovely.

Sue

Sue joined us in 2008. Sue has a gentle, calm personality. She has marvelous skills with the more curvaceous ladies, and has a good eye when it comes to finding elegant, flattering clothing. Sue is such an approachable and patient, supportive lady. Sue is a well loved member of staff, by our customers and us all.

Lisa

Lisa joined us just recently in May 2011. She comes to us with a varied background in retail with particular skills in window dressing and display. She has a passion for clothes and fashion with a keen interest in vintage clothes and accessories. Her eclectic and unique style of dressing perfectly reflects and compliments her bubbly, upbeat personality. Her people skills will be a real asset at Irene’s and she is looking forward to passing on her enthusiasm and knowledge to all our clientele. Lisa has a wonderful manner with people and makes them feel truly special.

Carrie

Carrie is our newest member of staff, joining us at the end of July 2011. Carrie has a great sense of individual style and enjoys dressmaking and tailoring clothes using fabulous fabrics, being vintage design inspired.  Carrie is bright, approachable and friendly and has a keen interest in people and making them feel really special. As a busy mother of four, Carrie understands many ladies are short of time and can help with style tips and advice on how to make looking gorgeous, effortless.

Sara

Sara, our shop Manageress,  joined us after a successful and varied career working in fashion and perfume. Sara is our Fitflop expert with a rather large collection of her own! Sara's experience in retail is evident with honest, helpful advice along with her cheerful manner; customers usually establish an immediate friendly rapport. Always ready to make us smile, we wouldn't be without her.

Teresa

Teresa has recently joined the team at Irene's and has a lovely helpful and friendly manner. Teresa is a very stylish dresser and is particularly talented at accessorizing outfits beautifully and enjoys helping ladies feel confident in their choice of outfit. We are delighted to welcome her to our family!

Antonia

Antonia is our seamstress. We would be hard pushed to find a more talented and patient seamstress. The high standards of Antonia's work are second to none and teamed with her lovely nature she is a valued asset to Irene.  Antonia's purpose built workroom on the premises enables Irene to offer in house alterations on all our own garments in a professional and prompt manner.
